RT-MA-005 is an asphalt indentation penetrometer that fully complies with EN 12697-20 and used for testing mastic asphalt, SMA and rolled asphalt. The device comprises a testing frame incorporating a high precision stainless steel water bath with circulating unit to control the specimen temperature during the test.
The water bath is made of stainless steel and equipped with drain facility for easy water discharge at the end of the test. The weight applying system, allowing in a very user-friendly and precise method to pass from unload to preload phase, then to load phase without the need to manual add or remove weights.
The RT-MA-005 design based on ultimate rigged frame structure that guarantees a precise weight positioning, and the user-friendly piston position indicator makes easy the adaptation of the device to different sample heights (70 mm cubes and Marshall specimens).
The asphalt indentation penetrometer supplied completer with high precision digital water bath, digital dial indicator 25 x 0.01 mm with holder on base plate according to EN 12697-20, calibration block, interchangeable cylindrical indenter pins with a circular flat-ended base 100 mm2 and 500 mm2, cube mould 70.7 mm, penetration adjustable test mould 69 mm.
