RT-MG-003 vacuum desiccators are used for determining the theoretical maximum density of uncompacted asphalt mixtures, as well as for determining the water sensitivity of bituminous specimens according to EN 12697-12.
RT-MG-003/4.5L & RT-MG-003/12L are lightweight type desiccators with 4.5 L and 12 L capacity made from robust transparent plastic. RT-MG-003/20S & RT-MG-003/30S are heavy type desiccators with 20 L and 30 L capacity made from stainless steel with transparent lid.
All the above vacuum desiccators have to be connected with suitable vacuum pump and vacuum gauge with bleed/regulation pin valve (see accessories). The vacuum desiccator supplied complete with cover clamps (3 pcs.), quick-release connection, vacuum hose (2.0 m) and internal stainless-steel shelf (with one level for RT-MG-003/4.5L & RT-MG-003/12L, two levels for RT-MG-003/20S, and three levels for RT-MG-003/30S).
